On April 13, 2017, the press conference for the “Sino-German Crop Plantation and Agricultural Technology Demonstration Garden” project will be held at the same time as the Nanjing International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition. The press briefing will introduce the work and achievements of the "Sino-German Crop Plantation and Agricultural Technology Demonstration Garden" project since its launch at the end of 2015. The project aims to promote the sustainable development of China's agriculture by adopting modern agricultural machinery and farming methods adapted to local conditions. At present, the project will be conducted on the 150 hectare land provided by China and will continue to accumulate farming experience for two seasons. Wheat, barley, rice, upland rice, potatoes, broccoli and rapeseed will be planted. Unique cultivation practices for dry crops (such as peas, corn and soybeans) were also based on this. The experimental plots all use advanced German planting techniques and agricultural machinery, and through training and other activities to help Chinese agricultural technicians master German agricultural planting advanced technology, skilled driving various German advanced agricultural machinery.
